Members

Here in Denver, our Community currently includes four sisters, four priest-brothers, five lay members, and one candidate. We are from Colorado, New Jersey, Canada, France, Switzerland, Mexico, and New Zealand. Our youngest member is 28 and our oldest is 74.

Sr. Helene

France

Originally from France, Sr. Helene was one of the first sisters in the Community to make vows in 1978. Since then, she has been a missionary to Germany, Africa, New Zealand, China, and the United States. She is ready to joyfully follow Christ wherever He leads her—and her favorite mission land is always around the corner, whether it’s a neighbor or someone she meets on a walk.

Rachel & Joshua

Colorado

Rachel and Joshua are lay members in our Community and Colorado natives. They are parents of four children yet also true missionaries, having served in India, Cameroon, Ethiopia, and many other countries. They always bring their radiant joy for Christ to our prayer and communal times. Rachel is a theology teacher in Denver, whereas Josh is a water engineer (and permanent deacon).

Fr. Luc-Marie

France

After an unexpected conversion in his university days, Fr. Luc grew up as a Catholic amidst the Charismatic Renewal in France. As the pastor of our parish, which he has served for almost fifteen years, he is greatly concerned about the spiritual well-being of our parishioners. He has a missionary heart, always ready to go out and announce the Gospel, and calling Catholics of all states of life to holiness.

Sr. Magdalit

Canada

For 25 years, Sr. Magdalit’s flame of fraternal care has burned in our Denver house. A native of Montreal, her artistic touch shines on the walls of our home, chapel, and prayer cabins. She draws on her theater background to bring to life the Jewish roots of our Christian faith as she teaches, leads pilgrimages, and serves as liaison of our Archdiocese to Jewish communities.

Sr. Mirjana

New Jersey

Sr. Mirjana grew up on the East Coast, went to college on the West Coast, and is now in Denver. A temporary professed sister, she has a youthful spirit that is full of joy and that is always ready for a dance and for praise and song. In her desire to draw ever closer to God, she is also always eager to know more and keen to discuss theology and philosophy.

Samantha

New Jersey

Samantha is from New Jersey and a consecrated lay member in our Community. She is a science teacher here in Denver. Teaching is not only her job, but also her mission born of the consecration of her heart: Nothing causes her more joy than seeing her students grow. And she knows how to relax, too, whether in the outdoors or over a glass of beer.

Fr. John-Uriel

Switzerland

Fr. John—actually known in Europe as Fr. Jean-Uriel—is from Luzern, Switzerland. While he would probably most enjoy frolicking through the Swiss Alps in 'Heidi' style, he has served the Community all over the world, including leading the global brothers’ branch, before coming to Denver. His love for the Lord, mountains, the liturgy, and young people are infectious.

Maria & Colin

New Zealand

Maria and Colin are from New Zealand. After getting married they made the radical decision to join our Community in France, only to later help build our house in their home country. They are parents of six. When Maria is not leading us in praise and charismatic prayer, she is a science and math teacher. Colin, a permanent deacon, prepares engaged couples for married life.

Fr. Anthony

Colorado

If you meet any friend of the Community in Denver, chances are they initially met us through Fr. Anthony. His ability to reach out and welcome young and old are a charism indeed! Born in Boulder, Fr. Anthony has a large family in Colorado. He cantors Shabbat with his guitar, leads Israeli dances, and is always planning new events and pilgrimages around the world.

Sr. Sarah

France

Our garden flourishes because of Sr. Sarah’s care and attention—the same care and attention she shows in her responsibility of mentoring and giving formation to new members in our Community. Whether she is leading us in worship or concocting a unique meal in the kitchen, Sr. Sarah, who was born and raised in France, makes everyone feel loved and welcomed.

Fr. Juan Diego

Mexico

A former chef whose love language is certainly cooking delicious food for his brothers and sisters, Fr. Juan Diego is a humble and joyful priest. Originally from Mexico, he is especially loved by our Spanish-speaking friends and parishioners. He is always ready to grab the drum, ready to wash plates or fill everyone’s glass to the brim with a sly grin on his face.

Hannah

Colorado

Hannah hails from Durango but also loves Texas, where she spent the last few years. As an equine veterinarian, she knows everything about horses. But when she heard the Lord’s call, her passion paled beside the beauty of following and loving Christ even more radically. She is discerning a call to the consecrated life within the Community.
