The Mystery of Israel

"God said to Abraham: Lekh-Lekha, Arise, Go." (Gn 12:1)

For us as a Commmunity, the Church’s Jewish heritage is central. We seek to learn more from this heritage and take up St. Paul’s charge, who speaks to us of the mystery of Israel as connatural to the mystery of the Church: the Church is in a way grafted on the root of Israel (Rom 11:25). We therefore strive to love Israel and to intercede for the Jewish people. We aspire to the common Passover with Israel, and to the glorious manifestation of the Lamb, who will establish us in the definitive Sabbath which is the Coming Kingdom.

The Hebrew Experience

Our Sr Magdalit Bolduc CB is the Liaison for Catholic-Jewish Relations in the Archdiocese of Denver, seeking to foster mutual understanding and respect among Catholics and Jews through biblical and theological studies as well as through fraternal dialogue.

Sr Magdalit also regularly offers a class called The Hebrew Experience to help Catholics understand the Jewish roots of our Faith and to better know Jesus as a Jew.

Pilgrimages to Israel

We frequently organize pilgrimages to Israel. Join us and walk in the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land. On our trips, we visit, among many other places, the desert, Dead Sea, Jordan River, Jericho, Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Magdala, Nazareth, Cana, Mt. Tabor, Jerusalem, the Holy Sepulcher, Bethlehem, and Gethsemane.

The next pilgrimage (open to all adults) will take place on October 3-17.

Visit Our House in Emmaus

Our Community is blessed to have been present in Israel since 1975, just two years after our founding. Since 1993, we have been living in Emmaus Nicopolis. Situated between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, it is a beautiful place of encounter with God. This is the holy place where the disciples of Emmaus recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.
