Disciples of the Lamb Testimonies
Testimonies
“God brought the community into my life last summer and I am so excited to have the opportunity to spend more time with them this upcoming year. I love the community's charism. It is both deeply liturgical, but also charismatic. This "both, and" proclaims the goodness of the Holy Spirit, and our wonderful Church Tradition. Worshiping God with the Community is a healing and powerful experience. God is doing great things here!”

“Becoming a Disciple of the Lamb was the answer to a profound need in me for unity and meaning: wishing my life with Christ no longer to be only “alive” when I am with the Beatitudes, but to be also in my daily life. It opened the way for me to get closer to this Community which I love very much and in which I have found something to nourish my faith. What this commitment requires of us is not easy to hold on to every day, but it makes me grow spiritually. I have discovered how light it is to bear the cross of Christ, which we receive on the day of our commitment.”

“Being a disciple of the lamb means a lot to me, but I think the major thing it represents is a community. In college freshman year I tried to go my own way, but quickly figured out that our faith was meant to be lived out together. Regardless of how uncomfortable it can be to put yourself out there, ultimately a community can help you grow far more than you could by yourself. Recently, I graduated from college. One of my biggest worries has been finding a new community to continue to grow in my faith with. Being a Disciple of the Lamb, therefore, is a massive relief to that worry, and I hope to continue to grow closer to my fellow disciples so we can all grow closer to Christ in his church.”

“Since becoming a Disciple of the Lamb, I have discovered new perspectives that help me in my relationship with God. This has strengthened my faith and has taught me to become a more adult Christian. My commitment has been very intense. I am happy to have been able to say a conscious “yes” to God. This commitment gives me a lot of strength and supports me on my way so that I can get closer and closer to God! Persevering on a daily basis is sometimes a real struggle, but my commitment is a sure point that I can always return to. Moreover, I am not alone and this strengthens me: we make this commitment together, we are in communion and we can strengthen each other through our daily experiences and struggles.”
